Princess Alice cleaning the house

Alice och jag var uttråkade en dag under jullovet och bestämde oss för att sy en prinsessklänning. Tyvärr hade vi inte så mycket tyger att välja på, men man tager vad man haver, som Kajsa Varg sa. Det rosa är en gammal tygblöja, det lila ett lakan, och det vita ett av mina gamla linnen.

Alice ville inte ta av sig klänningen på flera dagar, så den håller redan på att falla i bitar (vi får väl sy en till). Och som ni ser är den perfekt att städa i.

Alice and I were bored one day, and decided to make a princess's dress. We didn't have much fabric at home, so had to make do with what was there - an old cloth diaper (the pink), a sheet (the purple) and one of my old tank tops (the white).

Alice wouldn't take off the dress for several days, so it is already falling apart (I guess we'll have to make another one). And as you can see, it's perfect of a cleaning princess!

Alice och Vincent softar i soffan, i nästan matchande träningsoveraller. Alice har nallen på axlarna, därav den knaisga positionen. Vinsans snygga träningsoverall (och Alice fantastiska julklänning, se tidigare bilder) var presenter från Hawaiianska morföräldrarna Myrna och Bill!

Vince's jump suit is a gift from Hawaiian grandparents Myrna and Bill, as was Alices gorgeous christmas dress (the red one in the previous pictures) - thank you so much! We are thinking of you and missing you!

Vincent fick den här snygga pyjamasen av mormor i julklapp, tack tack! Och så syns en av våra nyomklädda köksstolar som en bonus, som bara råkar matcha pyjamasen rätt bra.

Christmans tree

Igår klädde vi granen. Johan har tjatat hur länge som helst om att få ta in granen, men Johanna envisades med att det skulle ske dagen innan julafton. Till slut enades vi om att två dagar innan julafton var lagom. Vincent tyckte det var skoj, men fattade inte rikitgt att dekorationerna skall hängas i granen, inte ätas upp.

Yesterday we decorated the christmas tree. Johan wanted to take in the tree ages ago, but Johanna wantet to wait until the day before christmas eve. Finally we agreed on two days before christmas. Vincent, however, has not quite understood that the ornaments are supposed to be in the tree. I wonder if they taste good...

Ja, du ser rätt. Det är pärlplattor i granen. Alice såg detta i en tidning redan för två månader sen, och sen har hon varit väldigt målmedveten i sin pärlplatteproduktion. Det blev faktiskt riktigt fint!

Yes, we have bead mosaics in the tree. Alice saw this in a magazine a few months back, and decided that we would make some for the tree this year. It turned out pretty nice, don't you think?

Let it snow let it snow...

We have lot's and lot's of snow. It's acctually the first time we have a white christmas since forever, and we try to take advantadge of it as much as possible. Good thing our back yard is more or less a hill, really.

Johan has his winter beard on. I guess it helps him keep warm. :)

Alice var och hälsade på mormor och morfar på Väddö alldeles själv i några dagar, och från morfar fick vi dessa fina bilder. Alice fick en Tingeling-tidning av mormor i samband med att de åkte från Spånga - och Alice var så lycklig att hon hoppade upp och ner. Mamma mamma, titta, Tingeling! Vete katten om hon inte hade tårar i ögonen till och med. Med i tidningen fanns ett läppglans, som ju måste appliceras ordentligt!

Alice went to spend a few days with grandma Lena Kristina and grandpa Toomas, and here are some lovely pics from grandpa. Grandma gave her a Tinkerbell comic book, and Alice was so happy she jumped up and down! With the comic book came a jar of lip gloss, which is of course some serious business to use.
