Song for Alice

Alices Special Uncle Jack has written a song for her. Mum and dad are touched to tears, and Alice giggles: When are you coming to see me again Special Uncle Jack? Mum and dad are teaching me way too little mischief!

Pictures from grandpa Toomas' 60th birthday, when Special Uncle Jack came all the way from LA to visit.

Song for Alice

This is a song for Alice
And if anyone deserbed a song, Alice does

Chorus #1
You're clever
You're funny
You're way too smart

You're sweet
You're charming
You capture my heart

You're as cute as could be
And Alice, you mean the world to me
Alice I love you
We all do

When you smile the world smiles with you
When you laugh our dreams come true
From my point of view
Everyone (who comes into your presence) is touched by you
From my point of view
Everyone is touched by you

Chorus #2
You're clever
You're funny
You're way too smart

You're sweet
You're charming
You capture my heart

You remind us to be happy and free
And Alice, you mean the world to me
Alice I love you
We all do

It's so much fun watching you show up
I can't wait to see who you'll be when you grow up
From my point of view
Alice, we've been waiting for you
from my point of view
We've been waiting for you

Chorus #3
You're clever
You're funny
You're way too smart

You're sweet
You're charming
You capture my heart

You bring such joy to our family
And Alice, you mean the world to me
Alice I love you
We all do

This is a song for Alice
And if anyone deserved a song, Alice does. Posted by Picasa

WELCOME!

My name is Alice and the world is my wonderland!
This is my space in cyberspace.

Mum and dad promises to update this page often, with pictures and stories about me and my adventures.

So bookmark this page and come back often to get to know me and see me grow! For example, did you know I have six teeth now? I love to bite mum and dad, and I don't understand why they don't like it? I am about to start walking, and I think I will take my first steps any day now. Any day!

Lots of love, and a little bite!

Alice & Grandma sleeping

This picture was taken this summer at Timmervik, I think it's kind of cute and it illustrates well the laid back, trouble free lifestyle we lead when we go there.

And this is the whole family

More pictures from paradise - Timmervik. This is from mid-july when we planted a tree for Alice. The tree's name translates in to "Japanese cherry-blossom" or something like that and has marvellous flowers in the spring. We had a little ceremony with the entire family present.

Johan, Johanna & Alice and the tree. Small so far, but we have no doubt it will grow strong and beautiful just like Alice will.

Karin (Alice's fathers mother), Liidia (great grandmother, mothers fathers mother), Alice, Johan, Lena Kristina (mothers mother), Josef (uncle, mothers brother), Johanna, Janne (fathers father) and Toomas (mothers father). Posted by Picasa

And this is now

It seems just yesterday she was that little tiny baby with the black hair. Now she's blond and loves to sit on mummy's back. And she loves bubbles. This picture was taken at the family summerhouse in Timmervik a couple of weeks ago where we spent three great weeks. Alice, being a very social little girl was thrilled to be in the centre of attention. She got to play with grandma and grandpa (mums parents, Lena Kristina and Toomas) and uncle Josef and his girlfriend Tora. Great grandmother Liidi was also there for a week, as was great aunt and uncle Britt-Marie and Jan-Henrik and great aunt Eva. Alice loved every moment of being in the group of family and was almost depressed when everybody went home.

I'll tell you more about what she loves as this page unfolds. Dam dam dam - the exitement is unbearable, come back soon for more news! Posted by Picasa

Let's start from the very beginning!

This is Alice only a couple of days old. Look at all that black hair. Isn't she the sweetest little girl ever? The text on her t-shirt, "Lycka", means "happiness"!

Alice was born on October 14th 2005, at 2.18 pm. She was born on our living room floor, in Stockholm, Sweden. It wasn't quite so dramatic as you might think, as the home birth was more or less planned. I'll tell you more about that some other time, though. Present at the birth were Alice's dad Johan and Anita, the midwife.

She was 51 cm tall and weighed aproximately 3.500 grams. We don't know exactly as there was probably something wrong with the scales. Posted by Picasa
